Driveway Pressure Washing in Brisbane

Driveway cleaning for Brisbane homes, units, strata and commercial sites, across the bayside, the inner east, the southside and the Redlands.

Concrete, exposed aggregate and pavers all behave differently under pressure, so we look at the surface and the staining first and set the machine to suit it. You get the price before anything is switched on.

Brisbane, QLD

Driveways cleaned properly, right across Brisbane

Professional driveway cleaning for Brisbane homes, units, strata and commercial sites. Every driveway is assessed on its surface, condition and level of build-up before we settle on the pressure and method used on it.

Why us

Driveway cleaning Brisbane can actually rely on

We set the pressure and method to the surface in front of us, whether that is concrete, exposed aggregate or pavers, instead of running every driveway at the same setting. You get the assessment and the price before anything is switched on.

  • 15+ years of experience
  • Family owned and operated
  • Brisbane-wide, residential and commercial
  • Clear pricing, no hidden costs
  • Site washed down and left tidy
More about how we work

The surface decides the method

Concrete, exposed aggregate and pavers all fail differently under too much pressure. We look at what you have and what has stained it before the machine comes off the trailer.

You see the price first

The quote comes before the work, and it covers what we will actually do. No add-ons discovered halfway through, no pressure to sign anything on the day.

Your property gets protected

Gardens, fences, garage doors and rendered walls all sit right next to the work. We plan the run-off and the spray direction around them rather than dealing with it afterwards.

We finish the job properly

The area gets washed down at the end and the debris goes with us. A driveway that is clean but ringed with grey silt is a job half done.

The process

What happens when we clean your driveway

Six steps, in the order they happen, so there are no surprises on the day.

  1. 01

    We look at the surface

Surface type, condition, slope, drainage and what has actually stained it. That is what sets the pressure, the method and whether anything needs pre-treating.

  2. 02

    You get the price

A clear quote for the area and the work involved, before anything starts. If part of the staining will lighten rather than disappear, we say so at this point, not afterwards.

  3. 03

We set up around your property

Hoses run where they will not be tripped over, cars moved off, garden beds and rendered walls accounted for, and the run-off directed somewhere sensible.

  4. 04

    The surface gets cleaned

Usually a rotary surface cleaner for the open slab and a wand for the edges, joints and corners, at a pressure the surface can take.

  5. 05

    Everything gets rinsed down

The lifted grime goes with the rinse rather than drying in a ring around the edges, and the paths, kerb and garden edge get washed off too.

  6. 06

We tell you what will keep it

What is likely to come back first, roughly when, and whether sealing is worth considering. No obligation attached to any of it.

Surfaces

Not every driveway takes the same pressure

This is the whole reason we assess before we start. Running one setting across four different surfaces is how driveways end up striped, pitted, or missing their jointing sand.

  • Plain and broom-finished concrete

The most common driveway in Brisbane and the most forgiving. Handles a rotary surface cleaner well, and the even pass is what stops it ending up striped.

  • Exposed aggregate

Stone set in a cement matrix. Too much pressure in one spot washes the matrix out and loosens the pebbles, so it is cleaned wider and gentler.

  • Clay and concrete pavers

The joints matter as much as the faces. Blast them and the jointing sand goes, the pavers move, and weeds arrive in the gap you just made.

  • Stencilled and stamped concrete

Usually sealed, and the seal is what fades and flakes. Cleaning it is really about not destroying whatever coating is left.

Straight answers

What comes out, and what only lightens

Most of what is on a Brisbane driveway lifts completely. A few things do not, and it is better to know that before we start than to find out together afterwards.

Comes out

Green and black algae

Comes off, and stays off longest on the sunny sections. The shaded strip under a tree will start again first.

Comes out

Leaf and berry tannin

The brown staining from figs, jacarandas and palms lifts well, though a heavily stained slab can need a pre-treatment rather than more pressure.

Comes out

General grime and traffic film

The grey layer that builds up over years is the most satisfying part of the job, and the difference is usually obvious from the street.

Lightens

Old oil that has soaked in

Fresh oil lifts. Oil that has been sitting in unsealed concrete for years has gone below the surface, so it lightens rather than disappears. We will tell you which one you have before we quote.

Lightens

Embedded tyre marks

Most rubber scuffing comes off. Where a tyre has been spun on hot concrete the mark can be bonded into the surface, and no pressure setting removes that without damaging the slab.

Lightens

Rust and paint

Depends entirely on how long it has been there and what is underneath. Worth a look, not worth a promise over the phone.

FAQ

Driveway cleaning FAQs

The questions we get asked most about cleaning Brisbane driveways, answered straight. Can't see yours? We're happy to talk it through.

1How do I get a quote for driveway cleaning?

Call (07) 2102 1228 or send the form on the contact page and tell us the suburb, roughly how big the driveway is and what surface it is. Photos help. We come back with a price for the job, and nothing is switched on until you have accepted it.

2What do you need to know to price a driveway clean?

Four things set the price: the size of the area in square metres, the surface it is made of, the condition it is in, and the access — how we reach an outside tap, a power point and the slab itself. Tell us those and we can quote accurately.

3Do you quote over the phone or come out and look?

Both, depending on the job. A straightforward residential driveway can be quoted from measurements and a couple of photos. Anything with heavy staining, awkward access, several different surfaces or a commercial or strata site is better seen in person, and we will arrange a time to come out.

4Do I need to be home for the quote?

Not usually. If the driveway is open to the street we can measure and assess it without you there, then send the price through. Locked gates, a shared strata entry, or a driveway we cannot see from the footpath are the times we need someone to let us in.

5How long until you can come out?

Most quotes go out within a day or two of your call, and jobs are usually booked in the following week or two. Brisbane's wet season is the busiest stretch, so lead times run longer through summer. If you need a particular date, say so and we will work to it.

6What do you need from me on the day?

An outside tap, a power point and a clear run to the driveway. Cars off the slab, side gates left open, pets inside, and anything loose moved off the area — bins, pot plants, door mats, kids' toys. Everything else comes on the truck with us.

7Do the cars need to be moved?

Yes, off the driveway entirely and onto the street or the lawn for the duration. Wash water carries grit and pre-treatment, and neither belongs on paintwork. If a vehicle genuinely cannot be shifted, tell us when you book and we will work around it and finish that section once it moves.

8What happens to my garden, my pets and the outdoor furniture?

We wet garden beds down before starting so any run-off is diluted, direct water away from plants where the fall allows, and move light furniture off the area ourselves. Keep pets inside while the machines are running — the noise unsettles them far more than the water does.
