Driveway cleaning is not a hard service to buy badly. Anyone can hire a machine and point it at a slab, and the difference only shows once the concrete dries. Here is what we do differently, and what we will tell you that a rushed quote will not.

The surface decides the method
Concrete, exposed aggregate, stencilled concrete and pavers all fail differently under too much pressure. We identify what you have, then set the machine to it rather than running every driveway at one setting.
The price comes before the work
You get the assessment and the price for the job before anything is switched on. Nothing is added on the day without us stopping and agreeing it with you first.
The property gets protected
Beds wet down before we start, furniture and pots moved, cars off the slab, run-off directed away from planting. Render, paintwork and garage doors are worked around, not washed over.
The site is left tidy
Everything lifted off the driveway gets washed off the paths, the lawn edge and the kerb instead of drying there. Excess water is pushed off the site before we pack up.

Every driveway surface fails a different way
There is one decision that separates a driveway clean that lasts from one that leaves a mark you cannot undo, and it is made before the machine is started. What is this surface, and how much pressure will it take?
Get that wrong and the damage is permanent. Aggregate stones cannot be put back, a stripped stencil coating has to be recoated, and paver joints that have been washed out leave the paving loose. None of that shows up until the slab dries.

Straight answers
What will not fully come out
Nobody who has cleaned driveways for years will tell you everything comes off, because it does not. Concrete is porous, and anything that has had a decade to soak in has gone below the surface a machine can reach. It is a better conversation to have before the quote than on the day.
- Old oil soaked into bare concrete lightens, often substantially, but a shadow usually stays. Fresh drips are a different story and generally come out completely.
- Some tyre scuffing is embedded polymer rather than surface dirt. Most of it lifts, though the darkest marks where a car turns on the spot often do not.
- A driveway under trees or in permanent shade greens up sooner than one in full sun, however well it is cleaned. Sealing the surface afterwards stretches the interval.
- Rust from jockey wheels and pot bases, paint spills and tannin from a long-gone garden bed respond to spot treatment rather than pressure, and results vary with how long they have been sitting.
- Cracked, lifting or spalling concrete is a repair job. Cleaning it makes the damage more visible rather than less, and we will say so before you spend anything.
