Brisbane Driveway Cleaning is the driveway and hard-surface side of a family owned Brisbane pressure washing business with 15+ years behind it. We clean driveways, paths, entries, steps, patios, pool surrounds, carports and shared access areas. The work covers houses, units, strata complexes and commercial sites.
Most of what makes a Brisbane driveway look old is not dirt in the ordinary sense. It is mould, algae and lichen that have rooted into the surface, traffic film bonded down the wheel tracks, and spot staining where oil, rust or leaf tannin has soaked in. Each of those comes off a different way, and sorting out which is which is most of the job.
That is why we ask what your driveway is made of and what has marked it before we put a number on it. A garden hose lifts the loose top layer and leaves everything underneath, and so does a machine pointed at the wrong problem.

Method
How we decide what a driveway needs
Every driveway gets looked at before anything is switched on. We identify the surface — plain or broomed concrete, exposed aggregate, stencilled or coloured concrete, concrete or clay pavers, brick, stone or tile — and check how sound the top of it is.
The surface sets the pressure. Exposed aggregate loses stones when it is hit too hard, stencilled concrete has a coating a lance will strip in seconds, and paver joints wash out and leave the pavers rocking. Older concrete can be soft on top and will scar under a jet a newer slab shrugs off.
- Organic growth is pre-treated and left to work, so it dies at the root instead of being blasted off the top and returning in weeks
- A rotary surface cleaner does the open slab at an even, controlled pressure, which is what gives a consistent finish rather than the striped look an open lance leaves
- Kerb lines, expansion joints, steps and the strip against the garden bed are detailed by hand, because a surface cleaner cannot reach into any of them
- Oil, rust and tannin are spot-treated separately, since none of them respond to pressure alone
The price comes before the work
You get the assessment and the price for the job before a machine is started. If something turns up on the day that genuinely changes the scope, we stop and agree it with you rather than adding it to the invoice.
Protecting the rest of the property
A pressure washer throws water and grit a long way, and most of the harm done on a driveway job is done to everything around the driveway. Garden beds get wet down before we start so any run-off is diluted. Light furniture, pots and mats come off the area, and we direct water away from planting where the fall of the slab allows it.
Cars come off the slab for the duration and onto the street or the lawn. Wash water carries grit and pre-treatment, and neither belongs on paintwork. Pets are better inside while the machines are running, mostly because the noise unsettles them far more than the water does.
- Render, painted walls, garage doors and window frames are worked around rather than washed over
- Drains, pits and downpipes are checked first so the slurry we lift has somewhere sensible to go
- Anything already cracked, lifting or spalling is pointed out before we start, not explained afterwards
How we finish a job
The last part of a driveway clean is the part most likely to get skipped. Everything lifted off the slab has to go somewhere, and left alone it dries into the paths, the lawn edge and the kerb. We wash the surrounds down and push the excess water off the site before we pack up.
Concrete is walkable straight away and dry enough to park on within a few hours, depending on the weather. If you are home we walk the job with you at the end. You get told what came up, what only lightened, and roughly how long it should stay looking the way it does.

We work out of Wynnum West and cover Brisbane within around 30km of it. That takes in the bayside and eastern suburbs, the inner east, the southside, central Brisbane and the Redlands. The radius is a guide rather than a hard border, so a job sitting just past the edge is worth a call.
The phone is answered Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday 7:30am - 12:00pm. Those are also the hours we work on site. Weekend mornings suit people who want to be home while the job happens, and they fill first.
